With his short story, “The Tale of Trot and Dim Johnny,” writer Tom Sheehan took first prize in the 2020 Ageless Authors competition, Coping With Crisis – Fiction, receiving a $500 award and a certificate of achievement from the large international writers’ group.

The second prize of $250 and certificate were awarded by Don Cox of Garland, Texas. Susan Lindsley of Decatur, Georgia received a certificate of achievement and an award of $125 for third prize.

Finalists in this category include Robert Walton of King City, California; Rose Findlen of Madison, Wisconsin; Dean Gessie of Midland, Ontario, Canada; Robert Nelis of Chicago, Illinois; Robert Kinerk of Cambridge, Massachusetts; Joan Colen of New York City; John Steckley of Bolton, Ontario; Gary Lawler of Dallas, Texas; and Kenneth Proper of Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

More than 40 writers, editors, teachers and other professionals evaluated hundreds of submissions for this contest.
