Ageless Authors Anthology Available Now:

Collection of Short Stories, Essays, Poetry by Creative People 65 and Older

BooksThe first Ageless Authors Anthology of the best work from our nationwide contest exclusively for writers age 65 and older was released at the end of 2017. You can purchase copies of the Anthology from the home page of this website.

This Anthology is a collection of the finest short stories, essays and poetry submitted to our writing contest last year. The book is available in print and as an e-book from Amazon.

“This book contains the work of almost 100 senior writers from all across the nation,” says editorial director Larry Upshaw. “We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the work submitted. Some of our writers are widely published, but others have been toiling away in relative obscurity and this is the first time they actually showed their work.”

Ageless Authors is the brainchild of Dallas writers Ginnie Bivona and Larry Upshaw. Bivona is an 87-year-old novelist and poet who started writing in her fifties. Upshaw is a 70-year-old former journalist, non-fiction ghostwriter, and marketing executive.

“I’m amazed at the number of people who said they wanted to live a simple life and write or paint or sculpt as a young person,” says Upshaw, “but their mothers said ‘no you don’t. You are going to law school and make money.’ Now they are dedicating their later years to creative pursuits.”

The mission of Ageless Authors is to provide a supporting community for those fun pursuits. This Anthology is the realization of what they are working toward. And there are more to come! Soon we will announce the submissions to be published in our next Anthology.
